WHEW!! I'm BAAAACK! There is something to be said about taking a step back now and again and taking times to clean, clear and organize our "life happenings." I did just that over the last few months and took the time to create peace in the chaos that had become my crazy busy living and work environments. Now, to be fair...none of this was bad. It was all about organizing and prioritizing a collection of projects, ideas and plans to move forward effectively as we prepare to enter into the 2nd half of 2018. I don't do well in disorganization or chaos and it was clear that it was time to take a moment to remove some of the clutter I had collected. When you create peace at home and at work, it makes way for the most important goals and priorities to be seen and acted upon. It creates peace for the mind and can often bring a great feeling of personal accomplishment and clarity for your next step. It also creates time that we did not have before. For me, I utilize that spare time practicing self-care. This is something I have not been great at (outside of my workouts) and it has become clear to me that I need to honor myself more. There are tons of activities to do, places to see and people to meet. We all need to take moments of pause...and even though there is still much work to be done (and always will be)...nothing says it can't be done someplace away from home or outside the office. So, I will be venturing back up to Denver in the next couple of weeks to visit, unwind, relax and create. Have you had your moment of pause yet? Where will your next adventure be? I shall return with more news and excitement for all that's to come for the remainder of 2018!! Blessings and cheers to you all!! JP

Many people have heard that it takes 28...perhaps 30 days to create new habits. Yet, it takes 90 days to make it a permanent lifestyle change. This is part of the reason that so many New Year's resolutions don't last. The KEY is to push past our limits...or those moments where "life happens" and we are actively embracing any excuse we can to give up. Nothing ever got done without WORK!! It's about being determined to succeed. It's committing to a goal, dream or vision. It's taking that commitment and being compelled to action. It's taking that action...evaluating the results. Did you succeed or have a successful attempt? There are no failures. If you succeeded, celebrate and keep going. If you had a successful attempt, what did you learn? If it's something that you want bad enough...Is it worth another shot? Or is it time to move onto plan B? Finally, no matter what the outcome...repeat the process. The goal is to never stop. Have your moments of pause...celebrate...and appreciate...but never stop! So, how are you doing with 2018 so far? Are you ready and compelled to do the work!?

I have a banner on my wall that says, "In the end, what matters most is how well you lived, how well you loved and how well you learned to let go." It's a statement which I live by, because when "life happens, " sometimes the unexpected occurs. It can be a welcomed surprise or a "blesson" which we are meant to learn under unfortunate circumstances. (And ooooohhhh...have their been some real "prizes" lol). The KEY is that we never stop but instead have moments of pause. Allow ourselves to enjoy the good. Allow ourselves to learn from the unfortunate. It won't be the only time, however, each time you will get better at how quickly you can embrace life's little "plot twists" and you will be a better and stronger person because of it all.
Some food for thought when considering change and shift. "The purpose of pain is to move us into action, it is not to make us suffer." Tony Robbins Remember, that enough pain or discomfort causes change, because we never want to stay in the uncomfortable. At the same rate, we must get used to living in the mystery and be okay with the unknown because that is were the essence of truly living resides. It's more painful to simply exist than it is to live...don't you think?

Just a thought...As another year comes to a close, I always sum up my feelings with one word and that is GRATITUDE. We may all be done with 2016, however, I never view a year as "good" or "bad." Life happens. Shift happens. Every year there are opportunities presented to us, people that become part of us, moments that teach us, and lessons that grow us. No matter what, we are stronger because of another year of life that we all experience together. Go into 2017 with gratitude. Take the lessons and bless the rest. Honor those that are with us. Remember those we've released and those who have passed. The New Year is upon us and I stand in gratitude for all of you. I could not be where I am today without all of my teachers, life lessons and influences which have and continue to shape the man I am still becoming today. Take a moment as we finish 2016 to express your gratitude to those who have been a part of your growth...even if they are not a part of your life any more...simply say...Thank YOU! Looking forward to a kick ass 2017!! See you all there!! ~James
As we get ready to enter into 2017, remember that YOU are an example to someone. As you grow and shift...be sure to set the tone for someone else to follow in their own ways and for future generations to mirror.
What will you add to your routine in 2017 to "give back" and "pay it forward" as you create the abundant life you desire most?
Motivate and inspire. It doesn't matter if it's a word, a thought or a whole journal entry...it'll reach someone.
